Through building a career I had dreamed about for years, I realized an important lesson. I gained a fresh perspective that I now share with others to encourage their dreams.

It was finally time. After years of contemplation and an exhausting three months of late nights, I earned my REALTOR® license and began to build the business I always imagined.

Real estate has been on my mind for as long as I can remember; however, it was not a realistic option for many years. Between having six children and my husband frequently traveling for work, starting in a new industry was out of the question. From the beginning, it was important to me that I be with my children as much as possible. Though I have never been the Pinterest mom, I kept my children home from daycare with me while balancing a 15-year career as a fitness instructor.

I have been working since I was 14 years old. Whenever I wanted something, I went out and earned it myself. As a Navy family, we moved around a lot when I was younger, which helped me build resilience and adaptability. It was hard starting over in each new place, always being the new kid. Every time, I had to reinvent myself. And yet, with each invented self, I grew more certain of who I was and who I wanted to be. That has stayed with me all my life. While building my business, I drew on my resilience, adaptability, diligence, and creativity to keep moving forward.

It was not easy. Although I waited for my children to all be in school, I still had a limited window of time each day to finish what I needed to do. Over time, I became an expert at making every minute count. Through adopting new strategies, I learned a surprising lesson.

What we focus on expands. I did not always have that awareness of my thoughts and the power they hold. The more I dove into real estate, the more I dove into creating my own life through ambitious and mindful methods. The more I learned, the more I shared with my children and encouraged them to dream bigger.

I am proudest of my children and all they are becoming. Each one has their own lofty goals, and they continue aiming higher. Let me again clarify that I am not the baseball mom or the Pinterest mom! I never pushed my children into doing an activity they were not interested in or made them continue when they did not want to. Only once they let me know their goals and what they truly wanted did I offer the encouragement to stick with it. They all probably think I am crazy because I am always sending them motivational messages, podcasts and all manner of inspirational content. I know mindset matters, and while constantly working on mine, I enjoy sharing that power with those around me so they can achieve their own big dreams too. In the end, real estate not only let me achieve a lifelong dream, but also gave me a fresh perspective.

My whole life, I have treated everyone the same. We are all just people. Everyone has a story to go with how they arrived where they are now, no matter how successful or otherwise. Only later did I realize we can become our own authors and script new endings.

Whenever I am not working, I enjoy exercising, going to the beach, being in the mountains, and hanging out with my children, our three dogs and cat. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is getting to know people and hearing their stories.

As a REALTOR®, I treat everybody like they are my family. I will empower you so you can make the best decisions to fit you. I offer constant support and will work according to your timeline. It is OK if you do not want to buy the first house or the tenth. When you find the right one, I will see it on your face. In the meantime, I will show you as many houses as you need.

While growing up in a military family, I often felt REALTORS® pressuring us to buy a certain home in a specific part of town. I try to offer genuine guidance, letting you tell me what works for your life, so I never waste your time. With my background, I am an expert at handling relocations and even have a relocation guide for my clients. As a longtime resident, I know the neighborhoods and communities here extremely well. I have extensive experience in land, residential and luxury real estate. Once the transaction is closed, I will continue encouraging your dreams as your lifelong REALTOR®.
